Gaming Couch's Biggest Month Yet: 25,000 Players and 90,000 Matches in June
· Gaming Couch

June was our biggest month ever. 25,000 people played Gaming Couch, and together you started 90,000 matches. That's a new record on every count. To everyone who scanned a QR code, handed their phone to a friend, and shouted at a TV screen this month: thank you.
What 90,000 Matches Actually Looks Like
Here's what that number means in practice. 90,000 matches corresponds to over a 1000 hours of gameplay. 1000 hours of people in a room, or on a video call, picking up their phones as controllers and playing something together instead of scrolling separately. That's the idea Gaming Couch is built on, and in June it happened more than ever before.
It also shows that people aren't only trying it once. They're coming back, bringing friends, and playing again. A party game platform lives or dies on whether the second and third game night happen, and in June they did.
Why We Think It's Working
We've stayed stubborn about a few things, and June suggests they matter:
- It's free, with no catch. No packs to buy, no subscription. You open the site and play.
- Nobody installs anything. Your phone is the controller, straight from the browser, with no app and no account.
- Everyone plays at once. Up to 8 players, short rounds, no one stuck watching.
- No language barrier. Our games are action-first, so there's nothing to read or type. Kids, grandparents, and mixed-language groups all start on equal footing.
If you've ever wrestled with getting eight people set up to play something together, you know how rare "just works" is. That's the bar we try to hold ourselves to.
What's Next
We're not slowing down. The second half of the year brings more games, new titles already live, and work underway to open the platform to third-party developers so the library grows even faster.
If June was your first time playing, welcome. Browse the games and pick one with a fun thumbnail. If you're a regular, you already know what to do: grab some friends, and we'll see you in our upcoming July recap.
